I was first introduced to CrossFit in August 2009 when a friend took me along for a free Saturday WOD. I was immediately hooked and began training that very next Monday.
How long have you been coaching?
I received my CrossFit Level 1 certification in the Spring of 2010 and began coaching with Bryn at CrossFit Indy North.
What do you like most about CF?
As a CrossFit athlete, I love the highs and lows of training. CrossFit has a way of making you feel on top of the world one day, but then to only come crashing down the next. The success and progress I have made keep me wanting to train more, as well as the failures continue to make me push harder each day. As a CrossFit coach, I love watching and helping other athletes grow and not only obtain their goals, but far surpass what they once thought possible. The amazing people I have met while coaching at Three Kings has made doing what I love that much more enjoyable.
What sports did you play growing up?
Throughout my childhood and high school I played softball. I was a pitcher and even from a young age had an immense interest in fitness and exercise. I was dedicated to the sport and played on several teams, including travel teams and also worked with a pitching coach 2-3 times a week.
What are your hobbies?
My favorite hobby is obviously CrossFit, as is probably anyone who CrossFit’s! But outside of training, I love to spend time with my family and being the mom of one amazing little boy. Watching him grow into his personality is one of the greatest highlights of my life.
