This season’s format for Sectionals has been revealed. It will be a 6 week series of online workouts in which you will have to tape and submit your workouts. This will be regulated by HQ and will determine who makes it to Regionals. We will have video available at our box for those of you who wish to compete. We will also have judges available to monitor standards, count reps and keep time.
We will also serve as a venue for other CrossFitters and athletes who wish to compete and need accessibility to equipment, video, judging, etc. We will post dates and times for these events so please check the website frequently.
Many disagree with this format. I do not. There are many reasons HQ has decided on this format and just to name a few, travel and lodging expenses, accessibility and time off work. Also, think about this, last year you had one day in our sectional to prove your fitness level. One day and the fun was over. Now you have 6 weeks to compete! It is kind of like a regular season before the play-offs.
